I watch basket ball one time a year and that is March Madness. I don't care about who ranks highest or who has the better coach or the more academic teams. ( Okay, I take that back, I do care a little about the teams with the higher grade point averages and better graduation rates) I just want the schools that I sent tuition money to, to win. So far, I am happy that UW and BYU made it out of the first round. I don't expect them to win the tournament, but a little respect is nice.
I started this post with a youtube link. That is in honor of my late mother-in-law. She loved professional basketball. She would crochet while she watched and she knew everything there was to know about the Seattle Sonics. I couldn't even guess how many afghans were crocheted during basketball season. My kids loved that their Grandma was such a big fan. They also love, love, love her all time classic comment about basketball. One day she was talking about basketball from "the old days" and said what she really missed were the old uniforms. She said the shorts on the new uniforms were much to long and ended her explainable with, "even an old woman likes to see a little leg from time to time." My kids were convinced they had the coolest Grandma ever.
She made a good point.
HA.HA.. She was one cool Grandma..:)
