I Don't Get It

I took the car into Les Schwab to get the brakes checked. They worked fine on the drive in but I didn't trust them. The really strange thing is that they checked out just fine. Brake pads etc, are fine.  The brake fluid is full and no leaks. It doesn't make any sense. The big question is, what happened yesterday at the stop sign?  It is great if there really isn't a problem and I don't have to face the new car decision for a while longer.  Still, I feel insecure. I'm going to give myself extra braking distance and take it to a different place for a second opinion.
