It's Dec 9 and I am still trying to post about the summer. I'm going to take the "picture is worth a thousand words" route.

July 5th Felix arrives!
I was sooo fortunate to stay with the new parents for three weeks and share in the beginning of our beautiful grandson's life. I was touched to see Michael instantly become an amazing father and so grateful that he brought Ivy into our family. She is such a loving mother!
August: Went to Elba to ride the train with Chris' family. At the time Alex wanted to be a train conductor. He still loves trains, but now he wants to be a fireman. |

We had so much fun with the kids |

We saw some beautiful scenery on the way home. Dave took the forest road which I thought was a bit scary (and it had no phone reception) but it was worth it.
 |
They highway had construction but Mt. Rainer was lovely. |
 |
The forest road had amazing sites.

Later in August the the grandkids came for a few days for their traditional sleep over at Grandma and Grandpas. We played "snow in August" with popcorn.
Almost caught up.....but not quite
