I CAN catch up!

 It's Dec 9 and I am still trying to post about the summer.  I'm going to take the "picture is worth a thousand words" route. 

July 5th  Felix arrives! 
I was sooo fortunate to stay with the new parents for three weeks and share in the beginning of our beautiful grandson's life.  I was touched to see Michael instantly become an amazing father and so grateful that he brought Ivy into our family. She is such a loving mother!

August: Went to Elba to ride the train with Chris' family.  At the time Alex wanted to be a train conductor. He still loves trains, but now he wants to be a fireman.

We saw some beautiful scenery on the way home. Dave took the forest road which I thought was a bit scary (and it had no phone reception) but it was worth it.

They highway had construction but Mt. Rainer was lovely.

The forest road had amazing sites.

Later in August the the grandkids came for a few days for their traditional sleep over at Grandma and Grandpas. We played "snow in August" with popcorn.
