I went to the used bookstore today and bought a copy of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. I was looking for a full length edition for Ivy and found a rather beat up hard bound copy. I have a credit at the used bookstore from trading books for a percentage discount on future purchases. With the discount the total for the book was $3.77.
My next errand was to the pharmacy. I picked up a prescription and then saw there was a small basket of items on the counter for 75% off. I saw a nice bottle of sensitive skin body wash that I thought Dave would like so I added that to my purchase. The total was $3.77. " That's interesting", I thought to myself.
I then stopped at the deli counter and asked for a small container of tropical chicken salad, thinking it would go well with some of those potato chips I bought yesterday. The total, I'm not making this up, $3.77.
Three times seems like one time past a coincidence and so I am not sure how to respond. Should I freak out? Should I buy a lottery ticket with those particular numbers? Should I notify my family, grab my 72 hour survival kit and head for the hills? Maybe I should stay home, lock the doors, pull the blinds, and blog about it.
I would take a bath, then read the book while eating chicken salad and chips! enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI would certainly try to think about what happened in my life in 3/77. If I had been alive then I mean. ;)
