Luck of the Irish on the Ides of March

Beware the Ides of March unless you have the luck of the Irish.  Today I was driving and crossed into a turn lane only to have another driver start blaring his horn at me.  I couldn't figure out what I had done but I thought I must have done some stupid thing. A few seconds after the horn blaring, I see lights start flashing from an undercover police car. My mind raced but I really was lost as to my offense. ( I have been in similar situations in the past but usually know before I see the flashing blue and reds that I am in the wrong) Then the most wonderful thing happened. The policeman pulled over the guy that honked at me!  Rarely have I seen justice served so swiftly.  The officer and I exchanged a nod, I turned up my music and drove away with a smile on my face.
Another great thing, well maybe just a kinda nice thing, happened at the Walgreens store. I was using lots of coupons and register rewards and sales promotions to get some good deals.  While this is nice for me and my checkbook, sometimes the cashiers get annoyed. I tried the preemptive strike and apologized as I pulled out the pile of coupons. The cashier looked at the coupons and back at me and cheerfully said, "you go girl." This was a lovely little surprise since I expected her to say, "move it lady." Even though I'm not up on all the current slang, I am pretty sure those two saying don't mean the same thing.
I have a little bit of Irish in me from my father's mother's side and I think it was working for me today.
