Philosophical Crossroads

I am not sure if I have finished painting the bathroom or not.  I have to decide between two conflicting  philosophies. The first is, "Anything worth doing is worth doing well."  The second is, "No one looks at the ceiling in a bathroom." Right now my shoulders ache and there are specks of paint in my hair so I am going to take the Scarlet O'Hara approach and think about it tomorrow.
Oh, in case anyone is curious, the walls are Arizona Desert Sand (light brown with a pink undertone) and the ceiling is some shade of off white that was on the same color swatch.

  1. I go with Chesterton on this one. "If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly."

  2. The problem with these two conflicting philosophies is that neither one is based on what you want. One is based on a vague notion of what it means to do something well and the other is based on whether or not someone else will be looking at your bathroom ceiling. Bah to both of these.

Will you look at your bathroom ceiling? Will it bother you if it's not painted? These are the questions to be asked. The others are diversions. In my not-so-humble opinion. ;)
